Local Section News

The February meeting was unfortunately cancelled due the bad weather. I keep forgetting that the Baltimore-Washington area does not function with snow. Having grown up I the Midwest, I don't even think about snow. I hope that we do not have to worry about that this time around.

After getting off to a very slow start this year, we have several speakers that I am trying to schedule for the next few months. This month we have two speakers planned. The topics vary significantly, so there should be something of interest to every one. I suspect that there will be something interesting for everyone at each meeting.

I am still working on the details for the next few meetings. I will be attempting to reschedule Dr. John Morgan of Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. There are also a few other possible speakers either for later this Spring/ Early Summer or next Fall as appropriate.

We still need officers for the section.

Come out to one or both of the meetings in April. I hope to have the May newsletter and other information out much earlier.

Please contact me as soon as possible with your reservations

John Canham
